Goodiary February Update: New UI, Notifications & Easy Color Formatting

Hello everyone who’s building a daily journaling habit with GoodDiary! I’m excited to share some great news with you. In our February update, we’ve made the user interface (UI) more convenient, and we’ve added a brand-new notification feature. We’ve also made it easier to apply color formatting when writing your diary entries. Wondering what’s changed? Let’s take a look!

1. A Friendly Notification at 9 PM

We’ve introduced a new feature that sends a reminder at 9 PM to write your daily entry. Of course, you can adjust the notification time in Settings > Notifications. It’s a handy way to make sure you never forget to journal.

2. Auto-Save in the Writing Screen

We know it can be frustrating when you lose your progress if the app closes unexpectedly. Now, thanks to the new auto-save feature, any content you type is temporarily saved until you tap “Confirm” or “Cancel.” That means you can easily pick up right where you left off—even if the app shuts down.

3. Improved Color Formatting in the Writing/Editing Screen

We’ve added a color dialog that allows you to set text color and background color all at once. Previously, you had to configure them separately, but now you can do it in a single step. Plus, if you’re typing and decide to revert to the default formatting, simply tap the color formatting button again, and it will instantly switch back.

4. Enhanced Goal Management Screen

When you open the goal management screen, each goal’s calendar automatically displays the current month, starting from today. It’s much more intuitive for checking your goals.

5. New Intro Screen

We’ve added a new intro screen to explain that GoodDiary is available on multiple platforms (Android, iOS, and web) and to highlight our data security features.

6. New Announcements Screen

Now we have an announcements screen to keep you up to date on the latest updates and important news—so you won’t miss a thing!

7. Better PDF Formatting

We’ve fixed issues with list formatting when saving your entries as PDFs. You can now preserve bullet points and numbered lists without losing any styles.

8. Red Markers on Sundays

We’ve marked Sundays in red on the calendar so it’s easier to spot weekends at a glance.

9. Display User Email in Settings

You can now see your email account right in Settings, which makes managing multiple devices more convenient.

10. Logout Bug Fix

We’ve resolved a logout issue that occasionally occurred, so now you can sign out smoothly whenever needed.

11. New Tutorial

We’ve added a tutorial with tips on how to use the app effectively. You can find it under Settings > Tutorial to quickly learn all the new features.

We’ll continue to work on more updates so you can enjoy an even better and more convenient journaling experience with GoodDiary. If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to let us know. Start recording your precious daily moments with our newly improved features this February!
